Canoes & Conservation

Morning Event (9a - noon) RSVP required: As you may know, we are hosting a morning program for elected officials, policymakers, and other stakeholders to heighten awareness about the value of Mill Creek as a community asset.  This is a separate event (invitation only due to limited seating).

The program ends at noon when we will pivot resources to the Community Event.  Please know you are welcome to join us for the morning program; if interested (no pressure), this is your invitation to register: https://mailchi.mp/themillcreekalliance.org/youre-invited-2023-canoes-conversations

Community Event (noon to 1:30) - Everybody Welcome! No reservation required:

1.  Flyer attached (draft).  This is your opportunity to suggest content improvements. I need your edits by the end of this week.  I will then provide you with a final version for distribution, along with a jpg for Facebook/Twitter/Instagram postings.  Goal: Provide you with final version by Monday.  Your willingness to distribute Flyers and post to social media is vital!

2. I plan to add sponsor logos to the bottom of the flyer (Ex. Santa Maria - OK with you, HA?). Other organizations: If you provide me with your logo by EOW, I would be happy to add!

3. Adelyn, Liz and Jessica,  I am very appreciative of your offer to provide directional signage and help guiding folks to the event.  I don’t have the bandwidth (given the morning program) and that is my biggest worry e.g. getting guests to the venue.  Once folks arrive at the 8th Street Viaduct, I can guarantee a fun time!

4. To those I’ve cc'd, we can use even more help creating a buzz for this special event within the community — so your assistance would be appreciated.
